NEWS: Marigold Announce Dream Star Grand Prix Tournament

Summer Destiny 2024, Dream Star Fighting Marigold’s first ever foray into Ryogoku Kokugikan, is now in the books, and amidst a slew of returns and new champions being crowned, the company also found the time in the broadcast to announce the first instalment of their own round-robin tournament; the Dream Star Grand Prix.

Styled similarly to other Japanese round-robin tournaments such as New Japan’s G1 Climax, All-Japan’s Champion Carnival and Stardom’s 5Star Grand Prix, the Dream Star Grand Prix will run from the 31st August, with both an evening and afternoon show inside EDION Arena Osaka #2, to the 28th September inside the Nagoya International Center.

The full schedule for the tournament is as follows;

  • 31st August 2024 (Afternoon Show) – EDION Arena Osaka #2, Osaka
  • 31st August 2024 (Evening Show) – EDION Arena Osaka #2, Osaka
  • 8th September 2024 – Bolfort Toyama, Toyama
  • 14th September 2024 – ShinKiba 1st RING, Tokyo
  • 16th September 2024 – Korakuen Hall, Tokyo
  • 20th September 2024 – Sendai PIT, Miyagi
  • 21st September 2024 – Morioka City Gymnasium, Iwate
  • 23rd September 2024 – Korakuen Hall, Tokyo
  • FINAL – 28th September 2024 – Nagoya International Center
