Three new champions were crowned at Marigold Summer Destiny in Ryogoku just a week ago, but the company have already shifted the focus to a fourth title over the course of the last few Summer Gold Shine tour dates.

The Marigold Twinstar Championships – the company’s tag team championships – are the latest belts to be announced by the company, with a tournament to crown the inaugural holders announced the day after the Summer Destiny PPV. First round matches in Shin-Kiba and Nagoya saw the tWin toWers advancing by virtue of a forfeit from the Passion Sisters after a high fever from Nao Ishikawa forced her off the card, MIRAI and Mai Sakurai brushing past Myla Grace and Zayda Steel, and the teams of Miku Aono and Natsumi Showzuki, and CHIKAI and Nagisa Nozaki also advancing to the semi-finals.

Marigold announced through their social media channels today that the crowning of the fist Twinstar Champions would be the focus of the upcoming Korakuen Hall show on Monday 30th July, with the semi-finals and finals both taking place on this show. Alongside the full card announcement, we have the semi-finals of Mai Sakurai and MIRAI vs. CHIAKI and Nagisa Nozaki, while the tWin toWers have the ominous task of facing the red-hot team of Miku Aono and Natsumi Showzuki, with the winners of both matches then facing off in the main event in the tournament final.

However, the Twinstar tournament isn’t the only thing happening at Korakuen Hall. Answering the demand of Yuzuki after their main event in Shin-Kiba, Giulia and Sareee will have to put their differences aside, teaming together for the first time with Rea Seto against the team of Utami Hayashishita, Victoria Yuzuki and Kizuna Tanaka. Elsewhere, Nanae Takahashi and Bozilla face-off in singles action after a series of explosive exchanges in prior tag team matches, while what will undoutedly be a chaotic five-way opener will see Misa Matsui, Myla Grace, Nao Ishikawa, Komomo Minami and Zayda Steel pitted against each other – with Minami (0-11) and Steel (0-14-1) both still looking for their first victory as a part of Marigold!
