The 2024 5STAR Grand Prix is still taking shape.
As part of the STARDOM WORLD RENDEVOUS and STARDOM WONDER RENDEVOUS press conference on Tuesday, president Taro Okada announced that there will be play-in tournaments for two of the final four spots remaining to be filled in the 5STAR Grand Prix.
Eight competitors will vye for an opportunity to compete in the tournament, with two separate brackets being made for Red Stars A Block and Blue Stars A Block. The first round of matches will happen on the July 23rd Korakuen Hall show while the finals of each bracket will take place at both RENDEVOUS shows.
Here’s a look at the matchups:
Red Stars A Block
- Waka Tsukiyama vs. Sayaka Kurara
- Yuna Mizumori vs. Ruaka
Blue Stars B Block
- Miyu Amasaki vs. Aya Sakura
- Lady C vs. Momo Kohgo
Only Ruaka and Momo Kohgo have ever competed in the 5STAR Grand Prix before.
