Both Mayu Iwatani and Thekla are scheduled to miss the back-to-back midweek shows in Aomori according to announcement from Stardom’s official Twitter.

The statement explains that Mayu will be receiving treatment for injuries, but does not elaborate on why Thekla will be missing the shows. Both women were last active at the Namba Grand Fight PPV on the 14th September, with Thekla teaming with Momo Watanabe and Konami in another win over God’s Eye, whilst Mayu teamed successfully with Hanan over 02 Line before Timeless Toni Storm challenged her to a future IWGP Women’s Championship match.

Though the announcement doesn’t go into specific details about Iwatani’s injuries, she did post a photo to her own Instagram story that seemed to show her having acupuncture, which would lead most to believe it is to do with her neck and back.

We at The Stardom Cast wish Mayu and Thekla – if she is also recovering from injury – the best and hope to see them in the ring again soon.

Stay tuned to The Stardom Cast for all the happenings in the world of Stardom.
